The gambling was okay, - we quit while we were ahead. We DID enjoy the pool, however, and the 'Lazy River'. So, if you get back from a hot, dusty walk through Algodones at 1 or 2 pm, hoping to check in and jump in the pool, just know you will have to wait till 3 pm. A bit of gambling All of these things were accomplished, but everyone considering this hotel please take note! You cannot check in prior to 3 pm. We stayed here with a group of 6 friends for the purpose of: 1. Please don't take this kind of treatment!!! Stay somewhere else. She also threatened others as we found out later. She didn't want to listen to anything we had to say. It was Monique screaming she was throwing us out, had called security, and we had to leave immediately!!!! We went down to the front desk to confront her in person. After unpacking and getting ready to finally go to get something to eat the phone rang. She yelled that I didn't have to stay there and I had enough of her abuse! I called her a name and left the desk. She was rude, grouchy, abrupt and uncaring. What a mistake!!! Manager Monique is the most obnoxious person I've ever spoken to. Well, it turned out the room wasn't ready until 6:30 pm! Asked to speak with manager. When I finally reached the counter they said my room wasn't cleaned yet. Clerk didn't even look up and yelled check in is at 3 pm.
